Soft Strip and Demolition Works, Chiswick

The brief

Surrey Contracting was appointed by the main contractor to undertake an extensive soft strip and demolition package at a property in Chiswick, London, preparing the building for the next phase of construction.

The delivery

The works included removal of internal walls, floors, ceilings, staircases and the existing roof.

This was a restricted London site, where limited working space required careful coordination. Work was carried out inside a sheeted scaffold enclosure with a temporary roof over the building.

The outcome

The package was delivered within the agreed three-week programme and budget.
