Surrey Contracting carried out the soft strip first, then took the building down by machine using a tracked excavator fitted with a sorting grab. Materials were separated on site as the work progressed. The main constraint was a tight programme.
The demolition works were carried out safely and completed within the agreed seven-day programme, allowing the housebuilder to progress with the next stage of the project.
